YYC Music Award Winner Amy Essen presents her debut album - Creature Teachers... a kids album based on animals from the Bible where each song is also in a different genre. (The first single Dinosaur Dubstep won Children’s Recording of the Year in 2023, and the album was nominated in 2023).
Imagine a kid's album that is musically diverse and spiritually deep, introducing kids (and parents!) to different genres such as Classical, Celtic, Folk, Rap, or Boogaloo just to name a few. Melodically catchy & simple enough for kids to sing, but professionally produced & arranged so adults enjoy them too. That's the vision behind Creature Teachers. 14 songs based on animals from the Bible where each song is also in a different genre. It is produced by Johnny Summers in Calgary and features the Elevate Kids Choir and 18 other musicians.
Since it’s release Creature Teachers has been performed live for hundreds of kids in Alberta and streamed around the world, inspiring them to grow musically, physically, mentally & spiritually. It reminds families to “Throw that worry away, and take the time to pray” as well as work hard, learn from mistakes, remember that everyone is unique and rise up to “Fly Like the Eagle”.
